Our new Ballard community blends a distinctly Northwest aesthetic with a nod to Scandinavian heritage. Located in the hub of Ballard on Market Street, our community draws inspiration from the comforting concept of hygge–a quality of coziness and conviviality that fosters a feeling of contentment and wellbeing. Filled with natural light, organic textures, and elements of nature, our community has an effortless ease that will make everyone feel welcome and at home.
Aegis Living Ballard opens in early 2024, and apartments are available to reserve now. While the community will be all new, Aegis Living brings over 25 years of experience continually raising the bar on assisted living and memory care. We’re proud to offer a truly high level of care, and to help you stay in your apartment while receiving flexible levels of service. We warmly accommodate couples with differing care needs, and we are uniquely able to support transitional assisted living for those with mild to moderate memory loss, as our community is designed from the ground up to safely maintain a sense of independence. Best of all, our Ballard residents will be surrounded by the big-hearted team Aegis Living is known for, providing thoughtful, personal care to every resident.

Amenities & Services
High level of care. On-site nurses will be available seven days a week and visiting physicians can save you a trip to the doctor’s office. We’re here to assist in mobility—like Hoyer lifts or two-person transfers. Through our unique partnership with Powerback Rehabilitation, we will offer onsite outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy within the comfort of our community.
All-day dining. Served from 7am–7pm, our seasonal menus are designed by dietitians, and our talented chefs cater to your needs, offering flexibility in when and where you dine, as well as plenty of menu options to suit every palate, dietary requirement, and craving. Chefs will happily accommodate—go ahead, order off-menu!
Full social calendar. The daily experience at Aegis Living is set apart by our creative Life Enrichment team. We customize our programs to fit the interests of our residents. Activities range from classic favorites to innovative offerings, like tai chi, music therapy, flower arranging, TED talks, Walking Club, and yoga.
Couples welcome: Aegis Living Ballard warmly welcomes couples with differing care needs. While more independent residents will enjoy all the amenities this new community has to offer, spouses needing more support will find 24/7 care, on-site physical therapy, a team to support with mobility, and transitional assisted living.
