Aegis Living has created a program called “We Bring You the World,” in which we celebrate a new country each month with food, music, dance and art. Our residents participate in activities created around this theme throughout the month.
Our newest respite resident, Rosie, joined our weekly tea party. Since the month’s theme was China, we distributed Chinese horoscope calendars. The residents were able to associate the year in which they were born with the animal on the calendar. As they all laughed about their respective animals, Rosie loudly exclaimed, “I was born in the Year of the Rooster, which is why I am always so loud. Roosters crow all the time, and I talk a lot!”
Our short-term respite care residents receive the same caring treatment as our full-time residents. This means access to the same excellent amenities, including our highly trained staff, delicious meals, engaging activities and inviting home environment. Your family member will enjoy the companionship of new friends in a supportive and caring setting.
