Aegis Staff to Assist

Meet the Staff

Your loved one has moved to Aegis Living.   Now that they are settled, you may have questions about different aspects of the community.  We are here to help.  You already know the Marketing Director and though you won’t see them as often, they will always be available if you need direction on who to speak to. Let us introduce you to a few key individuals who can answer your questions and assist you.

Your General Manager

Let’s start at the top, overseeing all day-to-day community operations, staff, and family relationships is our general manager.  This dynamic position in the community supervises our staff and recruits the team that keeps our residents happy. They ensure that everything in the community runs smoothly, including the kitchen, maintenance, activities, care, and more.  Your customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to our general manager.

If you have questions for the General Manager, they are happy to set up a one-on-one appointment and review any of your concerns.

Business Office Manager

To make our business side of the community run efficiently, our Business Office Manager (BOM) works closely with the General Manager on the behind the scenes paperwork, vendor management, resident files, and administrative tasks.   Our BOM handles all of our invoicing to families and manages payments.

If you have questions concerning your monthly invoice or payment, the Business Office Manager can assist you.

Your Concierge

Every community has a concierge who works at the front desk.  Your concierge is there to help answer questions for both the residents and family members. If you have any questions or need any services contact the concierge.  They are happy to help you or can direct you to the correct person to assist you.

If you are looking for a service for your parent, the concierge will be able to assist you with scheduling:

  • Transportation to a doctor’s appointment
  • An appointment with the salon or barbershop or massage services
  • Housekeeping or laundry services
  • A meal with your parent in our dining room
  • A request to our maintenance team to repair an issue in their apartment
  • A meeting with any of our directors: General Manager, Health Services Director, or Life Enrichment Director

Our Health Services Director

Each resident’s medical care is overseen by our Health Services Director (HSD) in every community.  The HSD will first assess the needs of your parent and their current health concerns to create a comprehensive care plan.  The HSD will manage the health of your parent, note any changes in their health, schedule and complete follow up assessments, and update their care plan as needed.  Our HSDs are registered nurses so they can communicate medical concerns or changes with a resident’s physician.

Residents can certainly use their current physician if they choose.  Aegis Living has also partnered with visiting medical providers who make regularly scheduled visits within the community, so residents can be seen in the comfort of their own apartment.  Our HSDs work directly with our visiting medical providers to update them on your parent’s health and assist in communicating those updates to you. Most of our communities also have working relationships with local physicians and medical centers that they can recommend.  And we provide transportation for our residents to get a ride to their doctor’s appointment.

Contact the community HSD:

  • To make an appointment with our visiting medical provider
  • If you have any questions regarding your parent’s health, changes in behavior, or general health concerns
  • For medication questions or questions about our preferred pharmacy
  • Regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions. The HSD will communicate these to our culinary services.
  • If you need the HSD to speak with your parent’s physician.

Care Director

As a partner to the Health Services Director, our Care Director manages all aspects of our care staff.  The Care Director is in charge of recruiting, hiring, and retaining the best staff, so your parent has consistency in the care they receive.  They work hand-in-hand with the HSD to make sure your parent gets the best quality care and attention. Our Care Director ensures our residents’ needs are being met every day.

Contact the Care Director:

  • If you have questions or need more information about your parent’s day to day living experience, their health care or the care staff.
  • If you have any questions or concerns about the care staff, the Care Director oversees management of caregivers and medication managers

Our Life Enrichment Director

Your parent’s calendar will be filled with fun, enriching activities, unexpected programs, music, entertainment, local excursions, and more every day.  But each community is as unique as the people who live there.  Our Life Enrichment Directors create a rotating daily calendar of activities based on the hobbies, pursuits, and interests of the residents in each community.  Our Life Enrichment Directors take great care in understanding the makeup of personalities in their community and catering activities, programs, and excursions to meet those interests.

We have an exciting program that tracks the participation of our residents in our activities.  Families can clearly see how much mom or dad is active in our Life Enrichment programs. We can also monitor if their behaviors change or participation increases or declines.  This can help not only gauge their happiness, but also their health and energy level.  The Life Enrichment Directors will directly email family members with reports, photos, and updates of their loved one’s participation.

Contact our Life Enrichment Director:

  • If you are not receiving updates on your parent’s participation or would like to be included in
  • If you would like to inquire about including a favorite hobby or interest of your parent in the LE program
  • If you want to participate in an activity, attend an event, or go on a local excursion with your parent

Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the maintenance and repair in your community.  The maintenance team keeps the community looking nice and safe, prepares apartments for new residents, and fixes any issues that may occur in your loved ones home. You can contact the Maintenance Director or ask the concierge for any repairs needed.

The comfort and health of your parent or family member are vital to us.   We want to help direct you to the right person to answer any of your questions.  But of course, our entire staff is very friendly and willing to help any way that they can.  Don’t be afraid to ask.

Respite Care

Respite Stays & Day Stays give family caregivers a real break—hours, days, or a few weeks—while your loved one enjoys a safe, enriching short‑term home at Aegis Living. Guests settle into a beautifully furnished private apartment and have 24/7 care staff and onsite nurses, medication management, and discreet safety technology (motion sensors, medical‑alert pendants, visitor check‑in) for peace of mind. Each day feels purposeful with chef‑prepared, all‑day dining and 200+ monthly activities—from book clubs and fitness classes to movie nights—plus full use of the community. We coordinate with your loved one’s physicians to mirror their routines and care, so the stay feels familiar. It’s also a smart trial run for senior living: meet neighbors, test services, and see what supported independence looks like—without a long‑term commitment. Choose a Respite Stay when you’re traveling or need time to recharge, when your loved one would benefit from structure, social connection, and great meals, or when you both want peace of mind while keeping options open.

Hospice Care

Hospice & End‑of‑Life Care at Aegis Living is comfort‑first support for the final stage of life, delivered in your loved one’s private apartment by our 24/7 care team in coordination with a trusted local hospice provider you choose (or we can recommend). Together, we create a coordinated care plan that manages pain and other symptoms, oversees medications, and provides calm, dignified help with daily needs, while offering compassionate emotional support for both resident and family. Discreet safety measures and a reliable medical‑alert system bring help quickly; chef‑prepared, in‑apartment meals adapt to changing appetites. Families are guided through decisions and moments of closure so they can focus on being present in a peaceful, home‑like setting. If your loved one already lives at Aegis, they can remain in the comfort of their home, avoiding disruptive moves. Choose this level of care when curative treatment is no longer the goal and you want expert symptom control, hands‑on daily support, and a setting that protects dignity and prioritizes comfort, meaning, and time together.

Transitional Care

Transitional Care is Aegis Living’s bridge for early memory loss—made for people who are still social and independent but benefit from structure, reminders, and gentle support. Residents remain in assisted living with full access to amenities and friendships, while dementia‑trained team members are available 24/7 for cueing, medication management, wayfinding, and compassionate redirection when confusion arises. Onsite nurses monitor health and adjust a personalized care plan as needs evolve, and discreet safety technology like motion sensors, medical‑alert pendants, and a visitor check‑in system, adds reassurance without sacrificing freedom. Nutrition and hydration stay on track with chef‑prepared meals, seasonal menus, and all‑day options, and days are filled with meaningful activities that build confidence and connection. Couples can stay together even with different care needs. If symptoms progress, a seamless transition to our secured Life’s Neighborhood Memory Care is available with the same trusted team. Choose Transitional Care when your loved one is missing medications, repeating questions, or feeling anxious alone but does not yet require a secured Memory Care setting—it’s the right support, at the right time.

Memory Care

Memory Care is specialized, secure support for people living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias who benefit from a calm, structured environment and round‑the‑clock expertise. At Aegis Living, that care happens in Life’s Neighborhood—an intimate, thoughtfully designed setting where 24/7 dementia‑trained caregivers and a nursing team on site seven days a week deliver personalized help with daily living, medication management, and mobility (including Hoyer lifts and two‑person transfers), while gently redirecting agitation and confusion. Days are purpose‑filled with science‑based cognitive programming, certified music therapy, and social activities; chef‑prepared meals are easy to enjoy and dining spaces and cues are designed for memory support. Discreet safety features like secured entrances, emergency pendants with fall detection, and optional motion sensors, prevent wandering and bring peace of mind, and visiting physicians and wellness professionals reduce trips off‑site. Families receive education and ongoing support. If your loved one is unsafe alone, missing medications, wandering, needs frequent cueing or hands‑on help with bathing or dressing, or thrives with a predictable routine, Memory Care offers the right level of care. For milder needs, our transitional Assisted Living can be a first step; for advancing symptoms, secured Memory Care provides the specialized, heartfelt support to help them feel calm, connected, and at home.

Assisted Living

Assisted Living is ideal when you—or a loved one—want to stay independent but need daily help to live safely and well. It combines a private apartment with 24/7 caregivers who provide personalized support with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, medications, mobility, including two‑person transfers and Hoyer lifts when needed). A nursing team on site seven days a week builds a tailored care plan, with visiting physicians and onsite physical, occupational, and speech therapy available for added peace of mind. Meanwhile, we handle the details like chef‑prepared, dietitian‑designed all‑day dining, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and concierge services, so residents can focus on community and purpose in beautifully designed spaces with fitness classes, clubs, and daily activities. Care scales up or down as needs change (so you only pay for the support you use). If you don’t require the constant medical care of a nursing home but want more help than independent living provides, Assisted Living delivers the care, comfort, and community to help you thrive.
Light Assisted Living is for adults who are largely independent and want the ease of maintenance‑free living with a trusted safety net close by. You’ll keep your own routine in a private apartment while we handle the hassle like chef‑prepared, dietitian‑designed all‑day dining, weekly housekeeping and laundry, concierge help, and scheduled transportation to appointments and outings. Our on‑site team is available 24/7 for occasional support—think medication reminders, a steady arm for bathing or dressing, or short‑term help after an illness—without the intensity of higher‑level care. Stay active with a full calendar of fitness, arts, clubs, and curated excursions; stay well with visiting physicians and optional physical, occupational, and speech therapy through our EmpowerMe Wellness partnership. Emergency call systems, elevators, and discreet mobility support add peace of mind. It’s the right fit if you don’t need Memory Care or frequent hands‑on assistance, but want community, convenience, and the assurance that more support can scale up if your needs change. Couples with different care needs can remain together with personalized plans.
