Gratitude

Just a note to say thank you! You have been our port in a storm for taking on my husband, the kid’s father and our 6 grand children’s G-Pa. We will remember you always as Chris’s 2nd family.

My sisters and I sure appreciate your care of our mom Marjorie! All our experiences over a number of years have been good. A tough job I’m sure at times and everyone seems to be enthused about working there. Appreciate the increase in frequent informational emails also. The outside viewing area isn’t perfect but it gives us a chance to see her (and sing songs for her).

I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for taking such wonderful care of everyone’s loved ones. It’s very heartbreaking for me to have had to make the decision to place Ted in memory care , what makes it even worse is not being able to see him. Your weekly updates are very comforting and reassuring , the measures you have taken to keep everyone safe is stellar, you can take pride in your efforts ,everyone is… so kind, thoughtful and loving. Your efforts take the sting out of such a heart wrenching decision, I know my love is in the perfect place with the perfect people. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had written in April this year about the excellent care my mother is receiving at Aegis Gardens, thanks to the proactive, energetic leadership and outstanding staff. Here am I again to express to Aegis leadership my heartfelt appreciation for the fantastic 100th birthday celebration prepared for my mom. What a special occasion – and despite challenges posed by covid19, they coordinated a beautiful party. Enthusiastic, helpful and energized, they worked expertly to set up everything, take photos and make… sure the party was a success. It really was! She festooned the”outdoor living room”area with a Happy Birthday banner, balloons (including inflated 100 numbered ones), flowers and more. Tables and chairs were all in place. My family, including mom’s two little great granddaughters, drove from California (everyone safe and social distancing) for this important century birthday. I brought cupcakes, fruit and more balloons. All was ready and everyone waited for mom Then she appeared –  and what a sight she was – dressed with a golden tiara and matching feathered boa around her neck!  The staff had specially dressed her like a queen to enjoy her day.Such kindness, enthusiasm and attention to detail. Wonderful memories were made. Mom was the life of the party as she blew out candles, ate her cupcake and enjoyed festivities and family. We were all so happy and appreciative. Joyful moments are not frequent in this very difficult period. My family and I wanted you to know of the beautiful birthday Aegis Gardens created for mom. My very best regards, Peggy G.

We are never too old to learn! Apparently, my Dad has never been a golfer, but maybe dementia clears the way for new adventures. Loving Aegis Living for giving Don new experiences. So grateful for Kamal and the loving staff who keep me in the loop.
