September 25th Update
Delivering Joy to the Doors of our Residents
Making our residents smile is one of the best parts of our job! Even in the midst of this pandemic, we are dedicated to continuously bringing joy to our residents. One of the ways we do that is through our door-to-door cart service where we bring our residents snacks and drinks and take time to chat with them and hear about their day. From “Christmas in August” brought by the team at Dana Point —to gorgeous desserts at West Seattle, our top servers, chefs and Life Enrichment teams are putting joy on wheels to make sure these days are fun!
Where We Stand Today: Zero Resident Cases Companywide
It’s our commitment to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy. Every single day we are doing everything we can to diligently follow strict safety protocols and go above and beyond the CDC guidelines in our communities. This week, we are happy to report that we have zero cases amid our 2,200 residents. We are managing three cases amid our 2,500 staff members in two of our California communities – Moraga and Corte Madera. We always do consistent and rigorous contact tracing and testing to control the spread and protect our residents and staff. We appreciate the support of our families and residents as well.

Celebrating a 100th Birthday in Style
We love celebrating our residents, and this week we were thrilled to throw our Callahan House resident, Hannah, a fabulous 100th birthday party. The party was featured in Shoreline Area News, and Aegis Living was touted for our ability to keep our residents safe while simultaneously creating special moments for our residents and their families. Within a safe space via our Outdoor Living Room, Hannah was visited by her two children and their families, enjoyed a champagne toast and was celebrated with 100 cupcakes and balloons. The Aegis team also surprised Hannah with a special poster from her hometown, a place near and dear to her, along with a signed and framed 100th tribute. We love making our residents feel special, even amid these trying times.
