March 31st Update
Aegis Living remains on voluntary community-wide isolation across all of our communities to help protect both our residents and staff.
Spirits remain high as we continue to create a diversity of options for residents to be entertained and engaged each day – from our outdoor movement program to new episodes of Aegis Live and video connections with families and friends.
Aegis Living Marymoor continues its healing while remaining on full isolation to protect the residents and staff. Several residents have returned from the hospital and the seven residents that are now deemed fully recovered from coronavirus continue their health improvements at the community. Over the weekend, a staff member received a positive test result. They were last in the community on March 22nd and will not return to the community until fully cleared. They are in our thoughts as they recover at home.
Aegis Living Madison is continuing to follow extra precautions put in place a week ago following the positive diagnosis of a staff member, including twice daily screening of all residents and increased staff screening and use of PPE, in particular masks. We received confirmation today that a staff member that went home feeling ill on March 17th, tested positive for coronavirus. They are recovering at home and doing well. Sadly, we lost a beloved resident who had been on hospice services for some time. The Department of Health performed a test for coronavirus on the resident after their passing and it was confirmed positive; they have not formally determined the impact of the virus in their passing. The community mourns the loss of the resident and their thoughts and prayers go out to their family.
