July 24th Update

Aegis Living Celebrates 23 Years of Changing Lives

We’re excited to be celebrating Aegis Living’s 23rd birthday this month! In 1997, our founder and CEO, Dwayne Clark opened our very first community in Pleasant Hill. Since then, we’ve grown to 32 communities throughout Washington state, Nevada and California, with several others in development. We are so thankful for our amazing residents and their families, as well as the dedication of our 2,500 fantastic staff members, who are the reason why Aegis Living continues to grow and lead the assisted living and memory care industry. The year 2020 has proven to be a pivotal time for us as we look to redefine the future of senior living amidst a global pandemic. Aegis Living is proud to be a leader of our industry with proactive innovation that sets a higher bar of quality for all others.

Where We Stand Today

We remain dedicated to adhering to strict safety protocols in order to contain of the spread of the virus. As of this week, there are five positive cases among the 2,200 residents, with 20 staff testing positive across our 3 states. We are continuing to conduct contact tracing testing, identifying and testing those staff or residents that may potentially have been in contact with a positive person in the community, as part of our rapid response culture. We are committed to Enhanced Sanitation and Protection Protocols, and daily health screenings to get our positive cases back down to zero. We are emphatic about our efforts to keep everyone safe and informed, and will continue to alert our residents, their families and the staff of positive cases that are a result of universal testing in our communities.

The Aegis Gratitude Page

We appreciate all the love and support that has poured in from our many family members and residents praising our staff. To capture your kind words, we recently launched a Gratitude page on our website where you can leave a message of appreciation or encouragement for one of our team members. In these stressful times, we know gratitude and recognition can go a long way. Here are some examples of the feedback we have received via the Gratitude Page:

Tyra from Dana Point – “Your leadership and your entire team are doing an amazing job during this difficult time. I really appreciate being kept in the know so I can share the updates with other family members.”

The Hayes Family from Kent – “Our family wants to express our appreciation to you for taking such excellent care of our loved one. We can rest better at night knowing Bob is in good, caring hands. Thank you so much to all of you.”
