December 3rd Update

Our Culinary teams outdid themselves with delicious Thanksgiving feasts! November was also full with meaningful Veterans’ Day celebrations in our communities, honoring our residents and staff who have served our country—with service spanning each decade since World War II. We kicked off the holidays with Hanukkah celebrations this week and are heading into the 12 Days of Holiday Cheer next week—our Life Enrichment and Culinary teams have collaborated on wonderful festivities for each day, from tree decorating to caroling and seasonal treats.

While we are closely monitoring the emergence of the Omicron variant globally, our positive COVID cases have stayed in the single digits across our 5,000 employees and residents. We continue to adhere to our rigorous infection prevention protocols to help us keep everyone safe and healthy.

We have hosted COVID booster clinics in all our communities and are pleased to have this important added layer of protection. The CDC now recommends a booster for all adults ages 18+ who were fully vaccinated with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine over six months ago or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine over two months ago, and we encourage all family members visiting our communities to schedule a booster at their local pharmacies if they have not already done so.
