Dr. Joshua Schiffer is an infectious diseases physician and scientist. His work focuses on mathematical modeling of HIV, herpes viruses, and other viruses that infect humans. Today, he also helps lead the latest COVID-19 research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch). 

Dr. Schiffer is an associate professor for the Vaccine and Infectious Disease and Clinical Research Divisions for Fred Hutch. He is also an associate professor at the University of Washington and an attending physician at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
