Aegis Living Queen Anne Rodgers Park (Seattle, WA)

Nestled on the northern slope of Queen Anne Hill, our grand Victorian-style community is located in peaceful, wooded surroundings near the Seattle Pacific University campus and adjacent to Rodgers Park. From the sweeping front porch, you can enjoy the ever-changing seasonal views across our landscaped gardens. Although you may feel miles away from the city in this idyllic setting, you are only minutes from the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment that Queen Anne, Fremont, and Ballard have to offer.

The surroundings only enhance the beauty of the building itself, designed in the style of Gilded Age architecture and encompassing impressive amenities on each of the four floors (including air conditioning throughout). Something we hear often: “There’s so much natural light!” Enjoy it streaming into the elegant library, spacious bistro, and unique train-car seating. Downstairs, the boardwalk holds a world of entertainment and wellness. Join a poker game in the sports den, watch a movie in the large theater, get a haircut at the salon, or get a clean shave in the barbershop. We host live music six days a week, including our popular Friday happy hour with visiting instrumentalists. Life is full at Aegis Living Queen Anne Rodgers Park.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We moved my elderly friend here from a nearby assisted living place where she was being completely neglected. Moving her to Aegis was like night and day in the quality of her care and she has thrived. She’s been there for about six months, and every time I visit I’m so impressed with this place. Each and every staff member is loving, caring, patient and kind. They all seem to truly care about the residents. Her appearance is so much better since she’s been here. Her clothes are clean, her fingernails are painted, her hair is washed and brushed. Her apartment is always clean and her clothes are always folded. Something that really impressed me recently is that we had a little Xmas tree for her in a box in a closet, and a staff member set it up for her. They really go the extra mile. In addition to her personal care, there are always activities going on and they make sure residents are engaged and stimulated. They do walks, song and movement, movies, manicures, movement, word games, scenic outings, art projects and more. It’s a great place, I hope I can retire there someday!

Aegis Rodgers Park is helping my partner adjust to the infirmities of his dementia with much positive support and friendship from the staff, all the staff. He and the family have received medical advice from trained nursing staff. He has been treated with kindness and patience by all, from the people who enter to clean his room to the people who bring music to the residence. The activities staff engage him in the activities and welcome him each day so that he feels comfortable in what was at first a new and very strange place. He may not remember their names but he knows their faces, smiles and ‘high fives’ that make him feel very comfortable. Rodgers Park is a beautiful facility but the staff make it a friendly, supportive, and welcoming place to live.

I cannot recommend Aegis Queen Anne Rodgers Park enough!!! I’m so grateful my dad was able to live here as long as he did. Literally every staff member is so caring and goes above and beyond! Not to mention, the entire place is beyond gorgeous and luxurious. It was always such a pleasure to visit and sit by the fire or have a meal in the gorgeous dining room. Their food is fantastic! My dad loved the attention and care he received there, especially the daily music which is his greatest happiness. Aside from the many fun activities, they have a wonderful music therapist on staff which brought my dad immense joy. Anyone would be very lucky to have their loved one here!
