John Carpentier, Executive Vice President of Operations

In his decade with Aegis Living, John has progressed through several roles with increasing responsibility–currently serving as Executive Vice President of Operations. His role includes oversight of the Washington Operation, including supporting new openings, compliance, training, and quality assurance initiatives.  He also has direct oversight of Aegis Living Quality & Regulatory Management teams, Corporate Culinary Services, Business Office Support functions, and retail mercantile shops in several Aegis Living communities. He also passionately oversees the internal talent development program, Elevate. He is a member of the Leadership Steering Committee, contributing to overall company growth strategy, program development, and new market site selection. 

John brings a 20-year track record of successfully devising and executing technical operational strategies, positioning companies for significant growth and achieving operational excellence by streamlining processes utilizing six sigma methodologies of process improvement, advancing productivity and reducing costs while improving customer and staff engagement scores.  

Highlights of John’s background prior to Aegis include serving as General Manager for Spacelabs Clinical Trial Services, Global Director of Operations for Philips Medical Systems Home Health Monitoring Division, and President of Healthcare Services, an Independent Diagnostic Testing Lab where he oversaw all aspects of the 24/7 international remote monitoring service. In each of these roles, John was a key player in multiple mergers and acquisitions and led several post-merger integration teams.

John has a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of Vermont and is a certified Clinical Cytogeneticist.
