Dedicated staff. We are committed to attracting the very best employees. By “best” we mean the most caring and compassionate; the most professional and attentive; the most responsive to our residents’ needs; and the most universally committed to making a difference. In return, we provide the best training, the best opportunities for advancement, and the best working environment in our field of care.
Life Enrichment. At Aegis, we know and care about our residents as unique individuals. We honor and celebrate their lives every day. Our residents see our staff as part of their “second family.” And we strive to create positive life experiences each day for everyone that lives and works in our communities.
We invite you to experience firsthand our picturesque community, the elegance of our interior design, and the warmth of our staff and residents.
Enjoy these notes written to our staff members from family and friends of residents. We call them WOW stories, because they are tales about Aegis Living team members who provided such a high level of service that it knocked the socks off appreciative residents – touching their hearts and ours.
During George’s time here at Aegis of Ventura, we have seen his wife, Rebecca come visit him nearly every single day. She commits most of her afternoons to spending time with George and befriending all of his neighbors.
She asked if we had some free time with the bus to take the two of them on their own scenic drive. We jumped at the chance! She wanted to drive through their ranches and stop at an old hot dog stand for dinner; two things George used to do almost daily.
We decided to make their afternoon extra special and had a few surprises in store for the two lovebirds. We put a card table and folding chair in the bus before we loaded them up. We also added a fancy tablecloth, gorgeous tabletop flowers and our special china. We ordered them a decadent red velvet cake with their names and hearts adorning the top. Frank Sinatra was playing and some sparkling cider were the last perfect touches.
When our bus driver, Jesus, pulled up to their hot dog stand he gave Rebecca a card we all signed to read while he set up their romantic atmosphere. She was so surprised and touched by the extra mile we went to make their afternoon unforgettable.
George had a great time and when she brought him back into the community he was laughing such a big joyous laugh we all knew it was a success!
