While spending some time with our Aegis Family on Mother’s Day, Irma’s daughters brought in home videos that they converted to DVD’s. They said they didn’t know how Mom would react but it was worth a shot.
How perfect on Mother’s day for her daughters to bring in some of Irma’s favorite memories. As we hit play and Irma’s daughter rolled her closer to the TV, her eyes grew soft and she began to laugh at funny life moments. Sigh at tender moments and when she saw her husband mowing the lawn a tear rolled down her cheek.
Families came in and the the daughters let everyone join in on their family memories even when they were slip and sliding on a hill sideways. All of us laughed together and cherished the family memories that they were so willing to share with us.
It was the best Mother’s Day I ever had. At Aegis of Kirkland we are all part of the family and at the end of the day we can count our blessings that we have one another. Today I am grateful for the families, co-workers and memory lane.
